Privacy Policy

LucidSearch ("we", "us") provides an AI search plugin for WordPress. This policy explains what data the plugin and this website handle, and how. The short version: we index your published content to power search, we store your visitors' search queries to power your analytics, and we don't sell anything to anyone.

Data we process to provide search

• Your published content. When you index your site, the text of your published posts and pages is sent once to a large language model (LLM) provider to generate embeddings — mathematical representations used for semantic matching. Drafts and private posts are never sent. Embeddings are stored on our infrastructure and deleted if you uninstall the plugin or delete your account.
• Search queries. When a visitor searches your site, the query text is processed on our infrastructure to return results, and stored in your site's analytics along with its result count and timestamp. Queries are not linked to visitor identities.

Data we do not collect

• We do not collect your visitors' names, email addresses, IP addresses, or accounts as part of search.
• No visitor personal data is ever sent to an LLM.
• Neither your content nor your visitors' queries are used to train AI models.
• We do not sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Account and billing data

Purchases, licensing, and invoicing for paid plans are handled by Freemius, our merchant of record. Freemius collects the billing information needed to process your payment under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, and license status — not your payment details.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service: an LLM provider (for generating embeddings), cloud hosting and database providers (for storing embeddings and analytics), and Freemius (for billing). Each processes data only as needed to provide the service.

Data retention

• Search analytics are retained while your install is active and deleted when you delete your account.
• Content embeddings are deleted when you uninstall the plugin or delete your account.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The plugin sets no cookies for your site's visitors.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time from LucidSearch › Account, or by emailing us. If you're in a jurisdiction with data protection laws (such as GDPR or CCPA), you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data — email us and we'll help.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll note them here and update the date at the top of this page.
